| 01288. NATIONALISM IN YUGOSLAVIA. An examination of the effects of nationalism on the federal structure of the government of Yugoslavia from 1960 to date. The Titoist system is looked at for reforms such as decentralization of the economy, liberalization of the political framework of the party, and the deStalinization of the country as a whole. Issues of economic nationalism and self-determination are considered in depth, and changes in the national constitution during the period of reform are examined. Restructuring of the Federal Chamber, the Yugoslavian Central Committee, and other bodies are viewed in terms of Tito's nationalist strategy. 24 pages, 10 footnotes, 7 bibliographic sources. |
