11364. SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS AND BLACK-WHITE HOMICIDE RATES. A review of literature and content analysis study testing the hypothesis that socioeconmic variables explain the higher rate of homicides among blacks (versus whites). Descriptions of racial variation in homicide and theories postulating explanations for the variation are presented.
