12387. EMPLOYEE INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION AT IBM. This paper provides an audit and analysis of IBM against the participative management/employee involvement model of human resource management. The first section describes the participative model of human resource systems and justifies the use of this model as an evaluative benchmark. the remainder of the paper evaluates IBM against this normative HRS model, addressing issues of strategy, structure, and culture, along with the specific human resource management functions of performance and management and rewards.
