13550. CLIMATE CHANGE AND HEALTH EFFECTS. This research paper provides an overview and analysis of the potential effects on human health occurring as a result of climate change. The first section of the paper offers a brief discussion of climate change models and the various inter-related factors which must be considered when predicting the effects of climate change on human health. Following this, the analysis looks at the potential direct and indirect consequences of climate change for human health. In taking into consideration the potential health consequences of global climate change, this investigation looks at the likely impact not only in the tropical and sub-tropical regions (areas where the population is expected to be especially vulnerable to the effects of climate change) but also in the developed temperate regions (areas where the actual magnitude of climate change is likely to be the greatest).
