| 13787. EARLY MATH FAILURE AND THE TROUBLED SCHOOL SYSTEM. Using the findings from the 1983 Nation at Risk study indicting the nation's school system as a starting point, this paper argues that failures in the elementary level math education leads to later failure at the high school and college levels.
