This paper provides an overview and assessment of how global warming and climate change will impact the health of people in the tropics and the delivery of health care services in the tropics. The paper begins with a brief review of the traditional and contemporary focus of health care delivery in the tropics. The next section considers some of the likely impacts of climate change on the health of people in the tropics. Concludes with an examination of the impact of these changes on health needs and health care delivery in the region.
