This report reviews and assesses Karen Horney's contribution to modern psychology and psychoanalytic thinking during the post-1950 period. Following a brief biographical sketch of Dr. Horney's life and work, the analysis focuses on Horney's contributions to feminine psychology, neo-Freudianism/cultural psychoanalysis, personality theory, and modern humanistic psychology.
