| 13220. VIRGINIA SATIR'S FAMILY THERAPY MODE VERSUS BRIEF FAMILY THERAPY. This report critically analyzes Virginia Satir's family therapy mode and the Brief Family Therapy mode. Each therapy is first considered separately in terms of its history, theoretical orientation, treatment approach, model of treatment, treatment techniques and role of the therapist. Following this, Satir's mode and Brief Therapy are compared and contrasted along major points.
