14255. HURRICANE ISLAND OUTWARD BOUND SCHOOL HARVARD CASE STUDY 588019 This paper provides an analysis and case solution to a Harvard Business School case study (588019) by Thomas V. Bonoma and Bruce H. Clark. Although the Hurricane Island school is still number one in the Outward Bound national network of youth oriented wilderness expedition programs, an adjustment in strategy may be needed to maintain that position. Based on a comprehensive strengths-weaknesses-opportunities-threats (SWOT) analysis, a marketing action plan which attempts to balance the often conflicting philosophies of the commercialist and idealist factions in the group is presented.
