15914. THE SUPREME COURT AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. This paper examines to Supreme Court cases involve reverse discrimination charges at the University of Michigan (Grutter v. Bollinger and Gratz v. Bollinger). In one decision, the Court held that race can be used as a factor in the effort to attain diversity in higher education.
