TIR is a method developed by Frank Gerbode to help trauma victims, including victims of domestic violence, by getting them to recall the traumatic event and thereby assimilate it. The paper looks at the influences of Freud and Carl Rogers on the method and considers the research indications of TIR’s effectiveness.
