| 18886. AFRICANS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT BIBLE. This term paper reviews a chapter by Randall C. Bailey entitled “Beyond Identification: The Use of Africans in Old Testament Poetry and Narratives” (from the anthology Stony the Road We Trod). Bailey argues that the Old Testament writers had positive views about the people and nations of Africa. Although certain aspects of Bailey’s argument are criticized, it is concluded that he succeeds in providing fresh insights into the meaning of the Old Testament texts.
