18528. ERGONOMICS AND COCKPIT DESIGN IN THE AVIATION INDUSTRY. This paper is concerned with the use of ergonomics to improve cockpit designs and thereby increase health and safety in the airline industry. It is also argued that this approach can lead to improvements in pilot morale and organizational competitiveness.
