18475. PEOPLE WHO MAKE ORGANIZATIONS GO—OR STOP ARTICLE REVIEW. This paper provides a summary, analysis and critique of a popular Harvard Business Review article (June 2002) by Rob Cross and Laurence Prusak about informal networks and the key players in these networks within organizations. The article focuses on what the authors define as the four key role players in informal networks: central connectors, boundary spanners, information brokers and peripheral specialists. The paper summarizes and discusses the central concepts in the article, and considers the article’s contribution to organizational behavior and theory.
