18654. UNITY AND LOVE IN KABBALAH AND PSYCHOLOGY. This paper argues that psychological insights can be obtained from certain concepts in the system of mystical Jewish teachings known as the Kabbalah. Although there are differences between psychology and Kabbalah, there are also certain ways in which they overlap. For example, one of the goals of Kabbalah is to attain unity with God and experience love for God as well as for one’s fellow human beings. This is similar to the goals in holistic psychology of experiencing wholeness of self, a “psychological transformation,” and healthy relationships with others. KEYWORDS: Jewish psychology Judaism mysticism holism Kabbalah. APA Style. 8 pages, 18 footnotes, 5 bibliographic sources. 1,854 words.   $56
