02171. A TRULY BEAUTIFUL SOUL: PRINCE MYSHKIN OR ALYOSHA KARAMAZOV. The effort by Dostoevsky to depict a truly beautiful soul in these two characters from "The Brothers Karamozov" is discussed. The humanity of Alyosha is seen as less profound than that of the saintly epileptic Prince Myshkin.
