This paper provides an overview and analysis of the problem of global warming and considers whether or not nuclear power can be part of the solution to the problem. The paper begins with an overview of the problem of global warming. The analysis includes a definition of global warming, a discussion of its major aspects, a review of scientific evidence demonstrating the existence of the problem, and an overview of the likely consequences of global warming. The analysis then considers strategies and steps might be taken to begin to address the problem. The second part of the paper considers whether or not nuclear power could be part of the solution to the problem of global warming. The analysis considers the both the advantages of increased reliance on nuclear energy and the risks associated with nuclear power.
