Search by topic:   17629. The Future of Computer Crime. This paper provides an overview and analysis of computer crime, with a focus on what computer crime will be like in the future. Following a review of literature on computer crime, the analysis discusses the worst case scenario, the best case scenario, and finally, the most logical scenario for the future of computer crime. The worst case scenario involves a massive cyberterrorism attack, the best case involves the elimination of computer crime (or at least its impact) via effective countermeasures; and the most likely scenario is that computer crime will persist and expand along with the simultaneous development of effective countermeasures.
