18739. Gender Development. This paper discusses gender development, which is the process of acquiring a gender identity as well as an understanding of gender-based roles and expectations. The paper examines research evidence regarding gender development through the stages of life, the influence of social factors (as well as biological factors) on gender development, and the impact of culture on gender development.
