This paper provides a case analysis and case solution to a 2007 Harvard Business School/Babson College strategic management case study on Google in the Chinese Internet search market. The time is mid-2005 and Google is confronted with the problem of whether or not to directly enter the Chinese search engine market and how to deal with Chinese government censorship and other restrictions placed on Chinese Internet users.
