This paper presents an analysis of a case study of problems encountered with a $52 million PeopleSoft Inc. software implementation at eight-campus Indiana University in 2004. It is argued that the implemenation has been more of a failure than a success and outlines some of the reasons why the implementation failed, focusing on the failures in program design, support, planning, and execution.
