18536. Wartime Rape and Murder by Us Soldiers in Iraq. This paper discusses a 2006 criminal case in which five U.S. Army soldiers, stationed in Iraq, raped a fourteen-year-old girl and then killed her and her family. The paper argues that the case can be explained by combining the views of five theoretical perspectives on crime causation: feminist theory, biosocial theory, opportunity theory, psychological theory and social learning (or differential association) theory.
